Christina Ross was born on 29 December 1923 at Balloan Farm, Culduthel, Inverness. Her father was Donald Ross married to Catherine MacLean on 5 May 1922 in Croy, Inverness. Any information on Donald Ross and ancestors would be appreciated as I have hit a brick wall. JC.

Welcome from me too!
Not seeing a marriage for Christina/Christian/Kirsty or similar to a John Ross.
I only used surnames & all areas in my search to cover all possibilities.
They may have married outside Scotland or didn't marry?
1911 shows an abundance of John Ross' in Inverness...needle in a haystack for now.
However, there's this death which could fit?...
HUNTER CHRISTINA 67
1945
387/ 97 Perth
ROSS CHRISTINA 67
1945
387/ 97
Perth
This would put her birth year approx. 1878 i.e. possible to be the mother of Donald?

Just checked the original 1901 because of discrepancies in Donald's age on the transcripts. Here's a snip. To me it read 2 1/2 and pauper has been crossed out. The birth cert did say born Poorhouse, Tain.
