I have recently become a new member to the forum and am in some much needed help to anyone who can help find the parents of my great grand mother.
Ivy W Offord Born 1912 Hartley Whitney Hampshire (mothers maiden name Dibsdale) - England and Wales FreeBMD Birth Index, 1837-1915
Percy Frederick Burrows (Born 26 Dec 1904 Hythe Kent England) Married 1930 In Hartley Whitney Hampshire - England and Wales Marriage Index, 1916-2005
They had 3 children
Removed Burrows - Oct 25, 1932 Farnham, Frimley,Surrey England
Removed Burrows - 1934 Surrey England
Removed Burrows - 1931 Hartley Whitney Hampshire.
Additionally i am unable to find any records other than the birth index and marriage index for either Percy or Ivy for their younger years. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance.

Hi and welcome :)
You just need to purchase some certificates. Firstly the marriage certificate to find their father's names and occupations, and then birth and marriage certs to continue working your way back. Relying on best guesses usually leads to mistakes.

Yes Certs are important at this stage of tracing Families.
You may need to widen your research also.
FreeBMD has 2 Marriages 1908/1909 in Hendon with Offord/Didsdale on same page.
And 2 birth reg GRO Index for 2 male Offord children 1909 reg Uxbridge.
It is possible brothers/married sisters?
Both couples are on the 1911 Census together in Middlesex (cant post details due to copyright)
Both Offord males born Hampshire.

Thank you for all the info thus far. I do know Percys parents names who are William I Burrows born in Dartford Kent in 1863 and Louisa Roberts born in Kent in 1864. This reflects the 1911 Census that was referenced. To find Ivys parents though i guess i will have to order her birth certificate to start and marriage certificate to confirm all the info is correct. Because she was born after the 1911 census the information will be hard to find online. I did however find that England completed a 1939 Register that may have all the info needed to complete this search that is now available online. It will however require a registration.

Due to copyright restrictions we are not allowed to do searches on the 1939 register for you.
It is possible to do a 'free search' of the 1939 register which will give limited information, it is also available to view at some UK County libraries that have FindMyPast access.

Her full name was Ivy Winifred Offord.
Gordon John Offord and his wife (Winifred Mabel) had a daughter Leila Ivy Winifred Offord, born 28 May 1911.
Ivy Winifred Offord born in Hartley Wintney district was registered in March qtr 1912.

Putting Percy's date of birth in hasn't brought him up!
Drury Offord and wife Lily may be on electoral registers in Hampshire (same site).

That would be the correct info for Ivy thank you very much. Percy Frederick Burrows is in the BMD index 1905 Elham Kent Vol 2A pg 1184 for a birthday dec 1904.

It looks as though Drury and Lily are more likely to be Ivy's parents than Gordon and Winifred.

Just spoke to my grandmother and the only other info that she was able to tell me was that Ivy remarried.

I can see Percy & Ivy together on Surrey electoral registers until 1935. Then there's a Pery Fred on registers in Finchley, Crouch End and Balham between 1937 & 39. I wonder if they split up?

That is his death and they did split up and Ivy remarried.

Ivy might have been living with a man called Albert Timmins (and had children?)
And then remarried (as Burrows) in Fulham in 1964 to Charles Wright.
If so, she died in Braintree in December 2000
Indexed as both Ivy Winifred Wright and Ivy Winifred Timmins.
Date of birth 4 January 1912.

Yes, possibly two children with Albert Timmins. But were they actually married?
If you pop that date of birth for Ivy into the 1939 free search you will find an Ivy (W) Wright (Timmins) in Yorkshire.
There's a probate record, a will proved at Ipswich in 2001, for an Ivy Winifred Wright who died 10 December 2000.
