Francis Davies Royal Canadian Mounted Police born 1901 Liverpool, sister Margaret Parsey nee Davies travelled to Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada to keep house for her brother 28.Sept.1923 SS Doric.

Seeking further details on the above, do they stay in Canada or return.
How can I contact rcmp to search for him?
Thanks, Gareth.

Thank you for the link, I’ve sent an email and crossed my fingers.
He can’t be aged 117 I’m sure, so maybe they can help me.
Much appreciated.
Regards Gareth.
Another rainy day in Stoke!

There are mentions of a Francis Davies on Canada Voters Lists but nothing to positively identify him as yours. Any middle names  ??? Looks like the Canada Ocean Arrivals form for Margaret might say F E Davies  ???

What happened to the husband of Margaret Parsey - couldn't see him on passenger lists to Canada - have you traced him at all  ???

Hi Sandra
Margaret Jane Davies md Henry Parsey, Dragoon Guardsman who went on to marry Alice Maud Clarke, committing bigamy for which he was tried and found guilty, press cuttings relate more details. He stayed with Alice and had offspring who may not be aware of his earlier bride. Hence she travelled as a single woman but the travel form reads ‘married’ as to her status. She was his first wife after all. It’s a tangled web for sure. I’ve updated my ancestry tree now has 3200+ relatives. Gareth.

Hi Sandra, yes I read it as F.E.Davies too but Liverpool births at 1900-1902 don’t have an FE. I’ve located the 1923 marriage today too thank you but I’m limited by info at present unless I gain details from RCMP to my email.
I’ve spent hours researching this past few days. Hope they come back to me soon. I appreciate your suggestions thank you. Gareth.

Update
Have received kind response from RCMP Archives,
Francis Davies was with the RCMP Depot Division at Regina, Saskatchewan from 1920 to 1924, employed as a tailor.

No details on what he did next or where he went. Still searching for him and Margaret Jane Parsey nee Davies who went there to look after him in 1923. No details on what happened to her either.

Have also privately obtained a history book on Depot Division which makes interesting reading.
