Hoping the obituary of Margaret Jane Lennox might confirm her placement in our family tree. Margaret Jane should be the daughter of William Caulfield and Nancy someone. She is the youngest or second youngest child. Margaret Jane married William George Lennox in 1875 in Woods Chapel. She died in Aughrim.
thanks for any help

Yes, my records say Aughrim, Co. Derry, Ireland. Her religion was Christian Brethern in 1901 and 1911. She was born Ballymoghan, Co. Derry to William Caulfield and Nancy, surname unknown although I would love to know her surname. Nancy's first daughter was Matilda (should be Nancy's mother). Second daughter Rosanna (could that be Nancy's real name), third daughter Margaret Jane after William's mother.
Matilda named first daughter Ann Elizabeth and Margaret Jane named first daughter Elizabeth.
Interesting.

Hoping the obituary of Margaret Jane Lennox might confirm her placement in our family tree.
There's unlikely to have been an obituary for her. If you are lucky there will be a death notice but details probably won't list parents. Likely to be something along the lines of LENNOX- at her [or her husband's/son's etc.] residence, ___, Margaret Jane, wife [or relict of the late] ___ Lennox.
Added- there may actually be more of a write-up but as I can only get extracted details I'm not sure how many relatives are mentioned-
Mid-Ulster Mail (Cookstown), 25 Jan.1936: MRS. MARGARET J. LENNOX, of Aghrim. The death Mrs. Margaret J. Lennox, which took place at her residence, Aughrim, Wednesday. 16th inst., occasioned feelings of deep regret among wide circle friends and acquaintances, and particularly among those...

I was hoping. There was an extensive obit for her sister.

Mid-Ulster Mail, 18 Jan.1936: LENNOX—January 15. at her residence, Aughrim, Castledawson, Margaret Jane, widow of the late Wm. George Lennox. Funeral to-day (Friday) ... clock family burying-ground, Eglish.
Looks like the date you have for her death isn't correct.

Looks like I was a week out on dod. I got the date from other family members.Trying to sort out names of relatives. B. Lennox might be Robert as I have often found Robert called Bertie. Perhaps the Derby and McCready and Maguire and Holland names are married names of daughters. I will try and research this information further.
Thanks

I have learned that Grace Lennox, granddaughter of Margaret Jane, married Robert Maguire. then Grace died in Chile in 1985, can't imagine what she was doing there. Holiday?? Her husband Robert had died in 1975 in Belfast. I haven't found the Derby connection yet.

This might be a clue-
Probate of the Will of Jared Derby late of Lisnamorrow County Londonderry Farmer who died 29 April 1897 granted at Londonderry to William George Lennox of Aughrim and Suffern Garvin of Derrygarve both said County Farmers. Effects £85. His Will says that William George Lennox of Aughrim is his brother-in-law.
Might be connected to above based on unusual first name?

Thanks again, aghadowey. Samuel George was a son of Jared Derby and Sarah Lennox. And thanks for the surname of Annie Orr. Did her father happen to be James? If so, she may be a sister to Maggie Jane who married Jared’s brother William James Derby.
