Hello,
Can anyone locate for me:
William Goddard, died 1880, Chadwell St. Mary
Elizabeth Dudley, died 1903, Chadwell St. Mary
Thanks,
Adam
-
Also anything on William Goddard, born there in 1841. Someone looked for a baptism in the parish but no sign, possibly in his mother's parish of Orsett?
-
William Goddard buried 29 Aug 1880 Chadwell St Mary, aged 65 year - abode Chadwell St Mary
Elizabeth Dudley buried 23 Sept 1903 Chadwell St MAry aged 84 years - Abode Little Thurrock
-
In Chadwell St Mary, i found baptism for:-
Walter Goddard 31December 1856 - Parents William (Labourer) & Elizabeth
James Goddard 30 October 1853 - As Above.
Eliza Goddard 14 March 1852 - As Above.
Charles Goddard 17 June 1849 - As Above.
Elizabeth Jane Goddard 10 Dec 1843 - As Above.
I went back to 1836 and no William, I will check Tilbury as that is the most likely area
-
Thanks for all that! William was baptised as William 'Gorred' in November 1841 if memory serves.
-
Hi Adam, but where was he baptised?
I cannot see him in Chadwell St Mary, East or West Tilbury, Mucking or Orsett
-
I was told it was Chadwell St. Mary, on the 21st of November 1841.

Thanks! I'll just look through and see if I'm missing anything.
-
This one might be too recent but can you find a baptism for Eva May Thorogood, born 21st of May 1905, Shalford?
-
Also any baptisms for a James Rogers and a Sarah Manfield, who married in 1801 in Wethersfield would be great.
-
I also see that in 1851 there is a Henry Goddard aged 14 with them as their son.
Henry Smith bapt. 26 Feb 1836 to Elizabeth Smith Chadwell St Mary
-
Thanks! Yes, Henry was their illegitimate son before the pair married in 1838.
-

Only Rogers baptisms from 1740 -1790
Samuel son of Samuel & Mary 18/5/1766 Wethersfield
Elizabeth daug of William & Jane 12/6/1768 Wethersfield
Thomas son of Thomas & Mary 11/12/1768 Wethersfield
John son of Thomas & Mary 10/03/1771 Wethersfield
There are no Manfield baptisms.
Plenty of Pasfield's though
-
No problem. Can you find burials for either of them in Wethersfield? They lived beyond 1810 but I don't think either of them made it beyond the 1851 Census. James and Sarah Rogers.
-
And any luck with Writtle?

neither of the above in Writtle
-
Damn. Thanks for looking anyway.
-
you're welcome
anything else?
-
Nothing I can think of, my main gaps were in Wethersfield and Writtle. But your help with today is much appreciated.
-
I have searched all the Chelmsford districts for Caroline Kerley/kearley death 1904.
So far all i have found is a burial for Eliza Kerley 26 Oct 1904, Chignall St James aged 74 years
-
That's very good of you! The age is about right but I'm not sure of the name.
-
Yes i know, i suppose it depends on who registered the death.
The only way is to get the certificate, i think.
I have found several of my family burials a a year or 2 out from the parish record and the official records.
-
I'll add it to my list of ones to buy. Thanks for all your help! It's much appreciated.
