In the December quarter of 1893, we have Herbert Lant V Carpenter marrying a Margaret Ellen Hawe in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire.
Other trees on Anc***** have Margaret as previously married to a John Hawe and had a child Stephen John Thomas Hodnett Hawe born in March quarter of 1885 in Watford.
I can't find a marriage record for Margaret and John nor can I find a birth record for Margaret Ellen Hodnett said to be born in Camborne, Cornwall about 1861/1862.
Any ideas?

I haven't found anything relating to these individuals in particular, but I did come across something interesting.
On the 1891 census in Broadhembury, Devon, there is an Annie HODNETT 1863 Cambourne, Cornwall (single, head) living with her nephew John HAWE 1885 Watford, Herts.
In 1871 Annie is living with her mother Mary (from Ireland, husband abroad), and sisters Mary and Margaret.
~ Edit- Maureen and I posted at the same time, seems to match up!
In 1881 Margaret is with mother Mary, now a widow, and now has the middle initial E. Also in the house, younger brothers Stephen and Thomas W.

We have four variations of the surname.
