I have Samuel Meuross 1769-1837 from Shotts and his wife Grace Douglas 1769-1853. Would appreciate any info on their lineage

I can't help with their parents, but their daughter Grace married George Cowan Waddell, who is not related to me as far as I know, and their daughter Mary Cowan Waddell married William Wotherspoon, who was my 3rd cousin twice removed. I have some information about their descendants.

There are a few of us (Meuross) in Australia.

Samuel was the session clerk for Shotts parish, as well as being the parish schoolmaster. He left behind some wonderful Session records and he is buried in the burial ground at Kirk o' Shotts.
