Can anybody help
I am having a problem finding a relative, Mary (May) Kirton's parents or relatives, she married in Stourbridge to Peter Williams in 1915, they had two children Leslie(1919) and Joan (1923) .My Grandmother was born about 1889 and died 2nd July 1965. The latter part of there lives they lived in Colley Gate, Cradley, area.

Do you have the marriage cert for Peter and Mary which would list her fathers name??
In 1939 May (Mary) lists her birth date as 15 Dec 1889 so possibly registered in the first qtr 1890
MARY KIRTON Mothers maiden name LITTLEWOOD
GRO Ref March Qter 1890 STOURBRIDGE Vol 06C Page 170
I think this is Mary and family in 1901 living at Two Gates, Cradley but you really need Peter and Mary's marriage cert to confirm her father's name
Thomas Kirton 35 Chainmaker b Cradley
Amelia Kirton 36 b Stourbridge
George Kirton 15 b Stourbridge
Thomas Kirton 13 b Stourbridge
Mary Kirton 11 b Stourbridge
Alfd Kirton 9 b Cradley
Minnie Kirton 6 b Cradley
Louisa Kirton 4 b Cradley
Joseph Kirton 2 b Cradley

The Kirton's were living at Cradley/Cradley Heath in Halesowen in 1901/1911 rather than Cradley near Malvern sadly. They are prenouced differently but unfortunately spelt the same
