Hello :)
Help needed Francis Ponder and Sarah Partridge had a quakers wedding in Sept 1708.
Colchester, Essex,
Francis Ponder was born in abt 1649 Sudbury, Suffolk,
I am struggling to find his death,
I think his wife Sarah died abt 1739 ?? I have not got this nailed yet.
thank you from Eilleen.

Francis Ponder buried 14 March 1764 Sudbury, St Gregory
Francis son of Francis & Sarah buried 29 Jan 1762, Smallpox. No age quoted for either on burial.
Bit late for the dates you are quoting tho although he could have lived well into old age. No obvious burial of a Sarah Ponder around 1739.

The will of Francis Ponder of Sudbury, proved in 1728, is accessible through the website of the Suffolk Record Office (https://www.suffolkarchives.co.uk/collections/getrecord/GB174_IC_500_1_182_125). Looking at the thumbnail image, I think he may have been a cooper.
Also Stephen Ponder of Sudbury, probate 1748.

Sudbury not that far from Colchester, also they would have wished to find a Quaker Meeting House. When we lived in Long Melford, a couple of miles from Sudbury our neighbours were Bill and Molly Ponder ;)
There is a Quaker Meeting House in Sudbury, linked to that in Colchester. I wonder if the nearest was Colchester at the time of their marriage.

Thank you for that, and very good point about wanting a Quakers meeting house.
