Hi,
I‘m looking for birth and marriage of William Howard and Margaret. All I know is that they lived in Chertsey ,Surrey and had my ancestor Charlotte Howard b.1797 in Chertsey Surrey, she later married Richard Jones 1814 in Chertsey,Surrey. Some familytrees on Familysearch say, that William Howard and Margaret married on the 7th of October 1791 in Chertsey and her maiden name was Berryman, parents William Berryman and Elizabeth Briddit .

The marriage took place at Chertsey, St Peter on the 2nd of October 1791and both parties were of the parish.
Both William Howard & Margaret Berryman left their mark in the register (X)
Witnesses: John Berryman (X) and Wm ?ouch
The week or so prior to their wedding a Thomas Howard married a Sarah Stone - possibly a brother of William ?

If Margaret was the Daug of William/Elizabeth she was just 18 when she married.

Marriage of William BERRYMAN to Elizabeth BRIDDIST is on Anc 21 June 1757
Trouble is there may have been 2 William/Elizabeth Berrymans Baptising in Chertsey after 1757;
EG;
WILLIAM 25 Nov 1757 to William/Elizabeth
MARY 06 Jan 1758 to William/Elizabeth
WILLIAM 16 Dec 1759 to William/Elizabeth
RICHARD 15 Oct 1760 to William/Elizabeth
1st 2 children only 2 mths apart ???

First, thanks for your help and the marriage date of William Howard and Margaret Berryman . I‘m not sure if Thomas Howard is related to William maybe cousin or a brother . I don’t know if Howard was a common surname in chertsey Surrey at this time .
Margaret Berryman b.1773 was the only Margaret I‘ve found in Chertsey Surrey .
I‘m interested in the parents of William Howard who married in 1791 but there are a lot of William Howard‘s who could ,,fit‘‘. I thought the name of William Berryman’s wife Elizabeth was Briddit not Briddist and I’ve found no one with the surname Briddit ,are there any baptisms for the couple?, I think there were also from Chertsey,Surrey

Marriage Bond has her as BRIDDIST
Looking at the actual document it has been written as Briddist.
Marriage Register has been transcribed as Briddick, someone has put a correction to Bridest.
Looking at the actual record it is written as Briddest by the Curate.
Have you looked at the actual documents?
Looking at FreeREG the name is spelt Briddist/Bridist/Bridiss/Briddiss etc
Oooh, looks like William/Elizabeth had a child 2 years before they married :D

I just noticed a Tree has her as 24 Mar 1733/4 Father RICHARD, that is not correct that Baptism has Father WILLIAM
The 24 Sep 1731 one has Father as RICHARD

Given that they had a Daug before they married the William Bapt 1757 may have been born earlier also and that would explain the 2 close Baptisms of William/Mary.
