Post by: ballydw on Tuesday 15 May 18 21:57 BST (UK)
Daniel Looney a 42, b co cork Wife Josephine a
 33 b Co Limerick Children Norah 11, John 8, Daniel 5, Patrick 3, Timothy 2, residing in 1911 in Ballinlough Cork. 7 children - 6 living
Daniel & Josephine (Walsh) married in 1895 Killavullen Church Co Cork.
The family seemed to move around frequently as I have found births of the children in places such as Nora in Mount Desert, Clogheen Cork, John in Hetyfield Rd Cork No 1 rural, Catherine in Rathealy, Fermoy (she is said to have immigrated to Canada as she not showing in 1911)
Daniel Looneys place of origin is Grenagh Co Cork b. c 1869 His father also Daniel.

Appreciate any help in locating family in 1901 Thank you

Could Josephine potentially be a 2nd wife ignore I see you say they married prior to 1901...there is a gap of a few years with Nora to John which made me think that

Maybe?

Well you have 7 children, 6 living and now you have the one who died!

You can find them somewhere in 1911 but don't post a Link.... I post a possible but you dismiss it as it apparently a different trade to whatever it was in 1911

This has you baffled searched under daughter catherine b. 1897 no joy all you can think is that the surname has been mistranscribed

BUT have you not just searched using Surname and many are under Unknown  because the book index was used and often the Registrar just put Surname in Index

The DED is Blackrock, I think, I looked for the places of birth the other night (but as my friend says I've slept since then) in the census I couldn't find the one John was born in, not sure you have the spelling correct and not sure the spelling is correct on the birth cert either.
