Title: Boon family of Snailwell
Post by: MacGrigor on Wednesday 16 May 18 17:07 BST (UK)
Hello,

Lily Boon was born in 1763 in Snailwell to Thomas and Ann Boon. I don't have a marriage for them, nor burials or baptisms (although of course I wouldn't have one for Ann as I don't know her pre-marriage surname).

I'd appreciate any help!

Adam

Thomas and Ann had three children that I can find all baptised Snailwell

Thomas 1755 Sarah 1757 Lily 1763

Unfortunately I can't see a marriage for Thomas and Ann, nor burials for them.

There is a possible baptism for Thomas 5 January 1724 parents Henry and Margaret

Henry Boon married Margaret Parsons in Snailwell 1722 according to Boyds Marriage Index.

Henry Boon buried Feb 1781 Snailwell
Margaret Boon buried 18 March 1789 Note: Widow of Henry.

Boyd's Marriage Index has a possibility?
Thomas Boon + Anne Trundle
1753, Mildenhall

And what's the exact 1722 marriage date for Henry Boon and Margaret Parsons?

And is there an exact burial date for Henry Boon?

The burial for Henry just says February 1781 - no day given

Boyds Marriage Index just says 1722

Does the Mildenhall marriage of Thomas Boon and Anne Trundle look likely? Is there any mention of Snailwell in the transcript or image?

It's just an index.
Mildenhall is six to seven miles from Snailwell as the crow flies, but over the county border in Suffolk. So it's a possibility.

If you do go to TNA, don't forget that the London Family History Centre is situated there. Where you would have the opportunity to see on their computers those digitized films that we are not allowed to view at home. Mildenhall for example!

Or you might find an LDS FHC nearer to you (opening hours are usually fairly restricted)
