Title: Ann Hall
Post by: Finley 1 on Friday 18 May 18 18:08 BST (UK)
This lady is hiding things from me :

I am almost positive she is my 4 gg.  the wife of my Robert Clark... of Pailton Warwickshire..

her details are sketchy   -

I have a marriage and a possible death for her plus the birth of two children that may relate to her.

Robert and Ann married on 27th September 1796 - Ansty Warwickshire.. by banns.
Robert Batchelor and Ann Hall of the same ???? Parish / spinster
Edward Mason Minister

witnesses Susannah Hall and John Carr..

But I can find no absolute --- as to her parentage or place of birth.

the death is plausible as Robert does go on to marry again later on..

But that is it for details   ...........   :(

I know they live in Church Lawford / Monks Kirby -  which is Pailton...

Ansty is not too far away at all .

The Ann Heel I came across is NOT her.

I imagine the Susannah is her sister but cannot find her a match that has similar details to Ann.

and ..   I know Ann was used as a nickname for Susannah / Hannah -- was it also used for  JANE  cos that crops up as a possible.

If nothing can be found that means this line is stuck at Granny number 4..  would love to put a little more meat on her bless her cos she only lived until 20yrs of age.

Such a common name, thats the trouble.

Need to find wonderful records like I did for one of my other branches..  Actual records of what they earn and give to the Parish . ... or what the Parish paid out to them etc. etc.. I am searching everywhere..

Sorry to be a pain..

this has been a long long complicated road.. cos they didn't stay in and around one village.

xin

but ignore a certain tree on Ancestry that states he was born in HINCKLEY MONTANA cos he wasnt !!!!!!!!!!! so there.. drop down box!!!!!! argh

I have just ordered   the Parish registers etc from Farnborough and area.. so await their arrival.. they are on Disc rather than download.. so a few days.. to be patient.

something I find difficult

xin

They are for the same family..  I know its a.n. other area.. but Robert's family is supposed to come from there.. We shall see.

Xin, you can view images of the original PRs on Familysearch from home - https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/171528?availability=Family%20History%20Library.

Have you looked in Northamptonshire for Ann or Susannah, Monks Kirby isn't far from the county border and the sister of one of my ancestors moved there with her husband from Naseby.  You need to be logged in with a free Familysearch account to view them.

Thank you Smudwhisk  appreciate that

I have had a look -- not found anything yet.   ::)

Just received the downloads I ordered and now have to go through to see what is what with them..

I can get most Parish Reg from FindMyPast   -- I just though I would like a keepsake.

Findmypast I suspect have copies of the Warwickshire images from Familysearch.  Ancestry's Warwickshire "collection" has a number of gaps unfortunately.  Although if you need Northamptonshire then they are on Ancestry rather than FindMyPast, but you probably know that already. ;D
