Looks remarkably like a Ford, UK versions were Ford Anglia/Popular/(Prefect?).
Engine "E93A" (side-valve).
Nicknamed "Sit up and Beg".

Model 7Y ?
As a teenager, I had a Popular.DOWNHILL it could reach 29 mph !!!

Hi,

My OH says it's a 1935 DeSoto, a division of Chrysler. More info about DeSoto at this link.

Just a thought ,I know he had an Oldsmobile at one time also .

The Olds was quite similar, but with a few differences....front face grill was different, hood
exhausts were different, and windscreen wipers were bottom mounted not top mounted as the DeSoto, according to my OH.

Thank you Malky , that is a much clearer view of it , you can clearly see the horns on the front and DeSoto emblem on the rear wheel arch too .

Nothing a little paint won't fix. Nice that the sun roof has already been installed. ;D
