Hello,
Tamazin/Thomasine was born in Upton Pyne, in 1780. Her parents were Benjamin and Ann Pitts. I have nothing on either.
I believe this Tamazin married Thomas Baylis in 1806 in Exeter, and then remarried to my confirmed ancestor James Westcott in Exeter in 1811.
I'd appreciate any help!

Hi
This is a possible marriage for Benjamin and Ann in Newton St Cyres in 1767, it is only a couple of miles from Upton Pyne
Benjamin Pitts a husbandman of the parish married Ann Heward of the parish of Ufculme after Banns on the 6 Jan 1767 at Newton St Cyres.
Both left their mark in the register
Witnesses: John Haveyard and Gabriel Harding - these look like official church witnesses, as opposed to possible family members, they witnessed quite a few marriages.

A possible baptism for Benjamin is in Rewe in 1732, again only a couple of miles from Upton Pyne
Benjamin baptised 12 March 1732 son of Benjamin and Joan his wife.
Marriage for the parents: Benjamin Pitts married Joan Sanders 3 Jul 1732.
I'm presuming the Old Style Calendar was in use, unless the couple married after the birth of Benjamin ( Until the Calendar Act of 1752, the year in England began officially on 25 March and not 1 January.

There's no obvious baptism for Benjamin and I can't find anything for an Ann Heward in Uffculme :'(

Hi
Bar the baptism found in 1732 for Benjamin Pitts in Rewe - I can't see another likely candidate either.
I can see his burial though in Upton Pyne
Benjamin Pitts buried 9 March 1796.
Widdowe Ann Pitts was buried 5 Jan 1812 Upton Pyne.
I can't find anything for Ann either yet. But given she was having children upto 1791, I think she may have been quite a bit younger than Benjamin if the 1732 baptism is correct.
