Title: Ann Roberts
Post by: Jan Prit on Wednesday 23 May 18 03:38 BST (UK)
Afternoon all, I am having no luck in finding a Ann Roberts who was born/baptised around 1774 and later married Nathaniel Porter in 1795 Edgbaston. At present searching the web for all Ann Roberts baptisms around that time, I have her burial Certificate and Nathaniel Porter's Burial Certificate, as I have been searching for my ancestors since 2005 at least, I appear to be going around in circles, I have subscriptions with the well known web pages. Perhaps I need to focus on their children more, Nathaniel, Caroline, even posting their names on the board didn't help, none of them replied to my enquiry in finding their parents Records. :'( :'( Any suggestions are always appreciated from this great message board. :-[ :-[

Regards,
Janet :-\

Good Morning purlin, I can't get into Family Search anymore as they require a email address and password now, I tried yesterday and no luck. I have found Caroline Porter records on Ancestry, her marriage to Edward Thomas he was a widower when he married her on the 8/4/1823. I also tried to make contact with their family tree on Ancestry which would mean updating my subscription a lot more to view this. :'( :'(. Thanks for your help. :-[

The witnesses might be a possible lead, They're difficult to read but look like ~

Sarah Peplow (mark)
? John ??Dunwick   (added - could be Merrick)

Snip attached.

Just looked through the others on the page and it looks as if John ??Merrick/Dunwick could be a church warden as he witnessed a few -  so not a relation/friend.

Janet, what year did Anne die?

I dont have a Ancestry subscription but i note on the listings there is a possible Anne Roberts born about 1773,  location, township in Lancashire which would refer to Manchester.  May be worth looking it up.

St. Paul Birmingham County of Warwick. Nathaniel Porter Death Certificate 8/1/1844 aged 85 years Labourer, Decan of Nature. I have searched all over for her and Nathaniel's baptisms, in all areas close to Birmingham, but they could have come from London. I am searching at present the Trade Web Pages where Nathaniel learnt his trade as a Clog Maker. :-[
