Title: Mazorkoff Death
Post by: steve62 on Monday 28 May 18 18:13 BST (UK)
Looking for the death of Saul Mazorkoff.

Saul Mazorkoff b. 1908 Liverpool - married 1929 Manchester -Hilda Ballan/Ballant b. 1910 Salford
Parents: Joseph Mazorkoff 1867-1973 & Rachel Cutner 1870-1945.

Have all info on his siblings, parents etc.  Its just the death date I am after.  Have tried using various spellings of the name and nothing.  Cannot find that he/they went to the USA/Canada/Australia unless I've missed something.

Grateful for any info or ideas.

If you have access to newspapers there is an article in the Daily Mirror 28 February 1947 regarding Saul, Hilda Mazerkoff and their daughter regarding a custody case.

Saul is living in Birkdale Street, Cheetham, Manchester. At least he's still alive in 1947, living in England.  :)

rosie  -  Thank you for that info.  That proves he is alive in 1940.

JJen  -  Thank you for that info.  Went on to British Newspapers and got 6 pages free to start.  Could'nt get the rest and so did'nt read it.  Unfortunately they do not accept my Italian Bank/Visa Cards or my bank refused them for some unknown reason.  Strange as I use for other overseas payments and just sent for some books in the UK and accepted.  Not  to worry at least he was alive in 1947 and I know know where he lived  then.

Thank you both for your time and effort - much appreciated.

I see you are not a UK resident and know this doesn't help much, but if you can find someone in the Manchester are to check on the Electoral roll how long that family were at that address, it might move you forward a little? By the way, he is not show in the 1969 Kelly's Manchester & Salford directory.

Hi Mary,
Thanks for the info. Regards Jewishgen - I use them for my research and the Mazorkoffs are the ones that went to Canada.  Btw. Its not a paying site, all you need to do is register.  They do however now and again write from the USA and ask for a donation, but it is not obbligatory.
I am grateful for your input as all little bits make up the jigsaw puzzle in the end.
