I'm trying to find out where archives of the publication, The Berwick Journal, are currently housed. Specifically, I'm looking for an article from January 19, 1888. Would anyone know this location? The British Newspaper Archive has online editions from 1855-1872, but none later than that. Thanks!

Genuki has the following information
The Scottish Borders Archive and Local History Centre at the Heritage Hub in Hawick has a large collection of microfilms of local Borders newspapers.
Might be worth contacting them.

If the avenue suggested by emeltom doesn't bear fruit then the British Library have the year you require - though you may need to go in person - NB If it were me I'd enquire first before making the trip to find out what the access criteria are and if you can order in advance.
I imagine contacting them would get you a quote for them finding and sending you a copy of the article - though I have no experience of the BL

You may have to click the details tab on that page to see the years they have.

If you go to this website www.berwickfriends.org.uk and look under Berwick Record Office you,ll find their contact details. They have microfilm copies of all the Berwick newspapers and should be able to send you a copy ( usual fees).
