Anybody out there have info re Spence family in Wellington, Cape Province.  ??? ??? :P

Not sure who (and when) you are specifically looking for, but apparently there was a Gabriel Chandler Spence (1916 - 2001) who was born in Wellington ( https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Spence-1395)

His parents James and Hendrika are mentioned in the fathers 1924 probate: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C913-HST2-Y?i=196&cc=2517051
