I'm trying to find the death of Elizabeth Rowarth b. 1892, Bamford. Believe she was a spinster and possibly a Postmistress in Bakewell. Daughter of Elias 1860-1896 and Emma Barber 1860-1930. I also don't know if she ever married later.

Could you let us know the last definite sighting you have of Elizabeth? (1911 census? 1939 Register?) and where she was living at the time.
This would narrow the search.
Regards
Philip

She is unmarried in 1939 and the only matching death is a Roworth in Jan-Mar 1945 in Leicester.
Billion Graves has a reference death - 21 Mar 1945 Welford Road Cemetery, Leicester.
There is a Rowarth in Ulverston, Lancs., in 1966, born 1893.

ROWARTH Elizabeth H - Age 84 - Bakewell - Vol 3a - Page 27
Year of birth slighly out - plus a second given name beginning with H.

Thank you for your prompt replies. The 'H' could possibly be Thomas Hannaford b.6/4/1897 mentioned in 1939. living at Ferndale, Buxton Rd, Bakewell. I also have a John W. Burley and Elizabeth at Bath St. Bakewell, Shopkeeper,Retail Confectionary & Tobacco, if this helps.

Elizabeth H was Elizabeth Hannah Woodiwiss who married Henry Rowarth in Bakewell District in 1916.
Elizabeth was born on 29th March 1892, which may help to find her death.

Thank you David, I’ve heard of the Woodiwiss name somewhere in the family.
Kind regards
Bill.
