Hello,
I did visit my local library last weekend and had a good perusal of a few articles! Sadly I can't visit this weekend as I am busy today and tomorrow. I've got a few BNA lookups:
Jesse Thorogood mentioned in the Essex Standard twice in October 1856 and once in the Chelmsford Chronicle in November 1856, testifying in some trial
William Wyatt mentioned in the Western Times for the 23rd of October 1868 appealing a decision
Bankruptcy of Samuel Beagley mentioned in numerous newspapers for May 1841 and any details
Thanks,
Adam

The Jesse Thorogood & William Wyatt articles are quite lengthy so it would be better to see them yourself. ;)
There are nearly 20 newspapers carrying possible variations of the story of Samuel Beagley in 1841.
You really need to be looking at these reports to see what information they contain as they could vary.
Perhaps you can wait a bit longer until you get another chance to visit the library. ;D

I'll aim to visit next Saturday once my exams are finished.

I think I may have some newspaper clippings about Jesse in my garage... may take some time to find but I will post them when I find them

Thanks! I have one from his 60th wedding anniversary in 1908 that was quite informative. I can’t remember how I got it now.
