Hi.
Do I put St Edburgha Parish Church, Worcestershire.
or
St Edburgha Parish Church, Birmingham, Warwickshire.

Current official address appears to be Yardley, Birmingham.

I would describe it as "Historic County Worcestershire- now Birmingham Warwickshire"

Ok thank you, so I will put Birmingham, Warwickshire. The Parish Registers I obtained from the Birmingham Library so I suppose that makes sense, although they probably have them at the Hive as well.

Been in Warwickshire since 1911 before that Worcestershire.
-
Ok so in my book I am best to put anything before 1911 Worcestershire.

Birmingham has been in the county of "West Midlands" since 1974 but I personally never use it in my address and I only live a few yards from the border with Worcestershire. Where I live is split between the City of Birmingham and Bromsgrove District Council areas.
I would use the appropriate county depending on the date so either Worcestershire for p1911, Warwickshire 1911-1974 and then West Midlands if a county is needed in the address. I have similar issues with places in London and always use the appropriate county name for the date of the event.

Try Dudley, part of it was an exclave of Worcestershire the rest in Staffordshire. My relatives lived on the outskirts of Dudley and registered BMDs in Dudley AND Stourbridge. I assume according to which registrar got there first for early birth registration or whichever was the most convenient at the time.
Now in the West Midlands ::)
