Title: Looking for the death of Elizabeth MARSHALL ~ Corby area? Last seen in 1911

Hello Everyone,

I am so frustrated, I have even resorted to walking along the street where my Gt Gt Grandma lived in 1911. I didn't see her but then I don't expect she gets out much at 188 years old!!

Seriously though, I can not find a death for her, and wondered if a fresh pair of eyes on the subject may help?.....please?
Let me give you some info ~

Born Elizabeth BARRATT 1830 in Bulwick, Northants. Christened on 30th June 1830 at St Nicholas, Bulwick.
In 1851 she lived with her parents in the Lodges at Bulwick. Married Thomas Marshall in 1852. 1871 living at number 1 Hermitage Cottages Brampton Ash, 1881 25 London Road Maidwell. 1891 Orton Village living next door to daughter Sarah and her family. 1901 living alone (Thomas died in 1899 and is buried in Rothwell) 30 Wales Street, Rothwell and her last known address Stocks Lane, Corby in 1911.
This is where I draw a blank! Any help would be very gratefully received.

I see there were 5 sons living at home in 1881.

Have you traced all of these forward to at least 1911 to see where they were living? It's possible she moved in with one of them post-1911, and so her death might be recorded in a registration district you don't expect  :-\

Yes I have tried this but as it's quite a common surname there's nothing that jumps out  :-\

Age out a bit but does happen.

Thanks Annie, knowing what I do about the family and where the hospitals that were local to her in 1910's/20's I don't think that is her?! I need a lottery win so I can buy all the Eliz* Marshall Death Certificates over that time!!  ;D ;D

Hi Wendy

The nearest one I can see is a Lizzie Marshall died 1916 in the oundle reg district. That district does include bulwick and great Weldon, which aren't that far from Corby

That one jumped out at me especially as Oundle would be the right reg district at that time, unfortunately it's a baby less than a year old  :'(
