Can someone please advise me how to reduce and then rename images on an iPad? All my photos on iPad are too big, and all carry the name of the photo as "Image" and a number. Unfortunately RC does not accept them, so I have to rename and reduce before I can post them on here. I was able to to do them on my PC, after emailing them to myself from ipad to PC, but I'm currently having computer and scanner problems, so that avenue is not available to me at the moment.
Any ideas anyone?
Thank you!

Hi Jeanne,
I am trying to help a member with the same problem but I do not have an ipad, did you resolve your problem?

Thank for trying Sarah, but no joy yet for me, but I am able to email them to myself again from iPad to PC and then rename and reduce them to RC and post from PC! That's about the best I can do at the moment. My iPad is now playing up a bit at present, so a visit to the Apple Doctor should hopefully be able to sort out both how to change a file name from image to JPG. Fingers crossed! Thanks and have a great day! 🌺🌺
I'll let you know what the Apple Dr has to say, maybe it could help our other member sort theirs! Hopefully!! 🤗🤗

That would be great :)

I think the simple answer is that you can't; although you might like to investigate whether there is a photo' editing app available for the iPad which enables you to do this.
Emailing them to yourself (or backing the iPad up to your desktop/laptop) is the most obvious solution - you do back-up your iPad anyway; don't you? ;) ;)
-
The Mac/ipad 'how to' sites that I've looked at say that you can't do it and recommend either downloading a specialist app or going the e-mail route.

Agree with the others, it’s not possible on an iPad.
You could email them to yourself to open on the iPad and select a smaller mb size (not physical size) but that = compression, which will reduce the quality if you ever try to blow the photo up again to view small details.

I think you can connect up with the ipad charger cable to the pc and then select photos to transfre to pc, where they can be edited and posted onto another site. No need for email.
'How do I transfer a photo album from my ipad to my computer?
Add photos to your iPod, iPhone, or iPad
Connect your device to your computer.
Click the Device button, then click Photos.
Select “Sync Photos,” then choose an album or folder from the pop-up menu. ...
Choose whether to move all your folders or albums, or only selected folders or albums.

You’ve always been able to edit photos on an iPad - as that shows - (alter lighting, colour etc and crop) but when you save what you’ve done to them it overwrites your existing file plus there’s nothing you can do to change it’s name.
-
I’ve also tried it earlier, you can crop but not resize... (the image stays the same size but it’s zoomed in)
I cropped a photo and hit done. Went back and was able to revert back to the full image. So nothing was lost. I didn’t try to do the same with colour and lighting though. I am not sure if you then sent the cropped image via email you would lose the original full image. :-\
Not a facility I would personally use on an iPad.
