Title: Mary Ann Tooley born 1850 Deptford Kent
Post by: jim234j on Sunday 17 June 18 19:39 BST (UK)
She married  Frederick William Carroll and passed away 1906 in Islington.

I was hoping the photo could be brightened up a bit.

Thank you for the wonderful restoration that has been done on my other old photos.

Any chance of a better quality "scan"?

Thank you so much.   It is clear as can be.   I can definitely see family resemblance to two of my aunts.    She sold milk in London (Islington) in the 1880s/90s

I really appreciate the work that is put into these as it brings my family so much more to life when I have these photographs.

Thank you so much

She passed not long after this photo and my grandfather came to Canada.  Looking at the left side of her face from the clear picture of her makes me wonder if she had had a stroke.

Glad to help. I agree it's possible she may have had a stroke or a form of palsy.
