Title: Birth Records in Corfu
Post by: DavidCowley53 on Wednesday 20 June 18 01:47 BST (UK)
John Cowley was born in Corfu in 1823 while the British were administrating it after some war.  He is listed as a British Subject in English census' so his father would have been a British Subject.  Anybody know how research his birth or get info on his parents.  John ended up as a servant for some Lord near Knutsford near Manchester so I'm thinking his father had a similar profession and was not in the military. Thanks.

Have you tried British Consulate Births?
or British Armed Forces and Overseas Births and Baptisms?

Both available on FindMyPast, amongst other places.
