A Google search using "Ivy Street" Portsmouth came up with this:

https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/heritage/coronation-day-fancy-dress-on-long-gone-portsmouth-street-1-6174763

Plus notes on pubs Rose & Crown (58/60), Ivy Ale House (17) and Marquis of Lorne (79).

As for the confusion between Southsea and Portsmouth:
Southsea is a seaside resort and geographic area, located in Portsmouth at the southern end of Portsea Island, Hampshire, England. Southsea is located to the south of Portsmouth city centre and to the east of Old Portsmouth.
