Have you spotted this in the Ryersons index?

PANNOWITZ   Ross Allan   Funeral notice   11MAY1949   Funeral   Infant   late of Beresfield   Newcastle Herald   11MAY1949 --->
Is this Ross Pannowitz, son of Lindsay George Pannowitz and Isabel of Harvenvale Boggabri, NSW https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/158291338?searchTerm=ross%20pannowitz%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20&searchLimits=

Lindsay George Pannowitz may also have had an earlier marriage to Rita Mason in 1938.

You can check the online index for registrations of deaths in NSW at the NSW BDM website.   There is a 1949 death registered there for a Ross Allan PANNOWITZ reference  #12377. His parents given names are displayed, but I have not typed them up into this post, as they or immediate family may be living.  Those given names do NOT include Michael or Mick or variations.

You should modify your post to remove the names of any person that you cannot confirm is already deceased, as RChat has a no living names policy.    BUT THERE'S POSSIBLY STILL AT LEAST ONE SIBLING WHO IS LIKELY STILL LIVING, AS LIKELY BORN IN THE 1940S OR 1950S.  I know of many people still alive in NSW whose own children were born in the 1940s ....

ADD
I have struck through that sentence, as I have searched NSW BDM ONLINE and SANDGATE CEMETERY ONLINE and found the likely deaths of most .... so see later posts.  I found the death notice at Trove mentioning Mick.  I suggest this is his known by name rather than his formal given name.

ADD, NSW BDM online has death registration for a Lindsay George PANNOWITZ,  #109661 in 1985.

Sandgate Cemetery, - click on above link, and work through it to arrive at photos.
1949 Ross Allen PANNOWITZ, 3-180-10
1985 Lindsay George PANNOWITZ, 3-180-12
2005 Rita PANNOWITZ, 3-180-12 (date of birth given on that database as 30 Sept 1916)

The NSW BDM death registration for Lindsay George Pannowitz should give you a good deal of family history info, including when/where born, when/where married, spouse's nee name, children of the marriage, etc.  An official transcription would be a good option as it has the same depth of details, and is not as expensive.

I have added to my earlier posts.

This article mentions how Ross was injured in a car accident and mentions Lindsay's mother.   Very sad.
