Title: Pre 1837 Northumberland Parish Records
Post by: littlefacey on Sunday 24 June 18 20:23 BST (UK)
Does anyone know where I can view pre 1837 parish records?

Im looking for the baptism record for Matthew Morroley b.1717 in Hexham. I tried IGI & FS but no joy...?

Thanks

You could try visiting a Family History Centre if there is one near you, see list

https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Category:England_Family_History_Centres

They have computer access to many more films / parishes than are available on the public familysearch site.

or you could try the NDFHS who sell a number of transcripts

What led you to looking for Matthew in Hexham in 1717?

A quick look at the register for Hexham today shows that the name (with various spellings) does appear in the records but there is nothing for baptisms in 1717 or thereabouts.
