Title: (*Completed*)A Harris on passenger list ex UK 1920-1937.
Post by: lucymags on Monday 25 June 18 04:53 BST (UK)
My current subscription to Ancestry does not seem to show some records I can see at header level on FindMyPast, so wondering if anyone can find and supply further info on this person?

Her name was Audrey Marguerite Harris (b. 1895 Lymington) and at some point after WW1 she left the UK, and at some point after 1938 married Frank Warner (someone has supplied a date in Cape Town in 1939, but I cannot find corroboration for that) and joined him on his tobacco farm in the then Southern Rhodesia. I have various journeys they made together, and I have Frank's history (born Grimbsy) as well as quite a bit on her earlier and later life (she moved back to England as a widow), but I am curious to find when she made that first trip. She was apparently a teacher.

These are a few FindMyPast records which could possibly belong to her:
Harris   A   1895   —   1920   Passenger Lists Leaving Uk 1890-1960   Cape, South Africa
Harris   A   1896   —   1920   Passenger Lists Leaving Uk 1890-1960   Cape, South Africa
Harris   A M   1896   —   1937   Passenger Lists Leaving Uk 1890-1960   Cape, South Africa

Looking for verification of her identity, if it is her on one or more of these records.

Hi
Miss A M Harris  aged 43 sailed on the Athlone Castle, Southampton to Cape Town on 13/04/1939
Her address was "Sunnyside", De La Warr, Bexhill and she was a teacher.
She also sailed on the City of Paris, London to Capetown on 21 August 1937  address details the same.
