Hi all,
Try as I might I just can not locate either a baptism or marriage for Thomas Neave. He married a Susan and they had 11 children all baptized in Needham Market between 1729 and 1759.
I can't locate a baptism entry or his marriage although I am aware the Neave name does go back a good few years in Barking and Needham Market.
Thanks in advance.

There are Neaves in my late husband's tree but they were originally Le Neave, and if I remember correctly they were living in or near Norwich when I first came across them. I will check the FT to see if they ever arrived at Needham Market!

I have a feeling my Neave comes from the Needham/Barking area of Suffolk as there are Neave's there that go back years to the 1500s if not earlier so I would be surprised he was from Norfolk but thanks for looking.

Two years later and I still haven't found the marriage of Thomas Neave and Susan. Their first child (Ann) was born in 1729 in Needham Market.

Hi Alan
Suffolk FHS indexes are always worth consulting ...
Thomas NEEVE of Needham married Susan HYNARD at Stowmarket in 1726.
Thomas NEVE, son of John & Susan, was baptized at Barking in 1698.
Susan HEYNARD, daughter of George & Susan, was baptized at Stowmarket in 1702.
Barking's registers also include the birth of Thomas NEAVE, son of Thomas & Susan, in 1727 and two more wives of Thomas NEEVE (with abbreviated forenames and perhaps standardized surnames in Boyd's marriage index (https://archive.org/details/boydsmarriageind28boyd/page/185/mode/1up)): Sus BUXTON (m. 1747) and An GOULSBURY (m. 1749).
