Title: Southampton man
Post by: Quester on Tuesday 03 July 18 11:44 BST (UK)
Hi
I have attached a photo that was in my Gt. grandmother's album. Unfortunately I do not know who the gentleman was. I would be very grateful if it could be restored. Many thanks
Regards from Quester

Hi Rami.
Thank you so much, that is wonderful - what a difference it makes - you are very talented. If only I knew who he was, he looks very distinguished.
Many thanks from Quester

There are also pages on Facebook relating to Hampshire ancestry, family trees and old photographs. You could try putting it there as well. Long shot, but with both Rootschat and Facebook you might find someone who can identify him.

Thank you Silaswall,
I looked up when the photographers were at the studio and I think the 1890's possibly fits, so that is a start. Possibly he did not come from Southampton but was en route to catch a ship from Southampton. I shall look into your suggestions, so thanks for those ideas.
Regards Quester

He does look very distinguished, and what a distinctive tie. It looks almost too modern for the photo somehow  ???
