Title: MARRIAGE LOOKUP REQUEST - WHITNEY OR NEARBY

I am searching for the marriage of STEPHEN TAYLOR and MARY ANN PEARCE in 1845 (Sept quarter) in the Witney area.
Its on FreeBMD under WITNEY registration district, but I can't find it in the registers of Witney, St Mary's.

Witney is the Registration District which cover a lot of Parishes. If you look the marriage up on FreeBMD then click on Witney, it brings up a page saying where the Witney Reg District is. Click on 'here' and you will get a list of all the places covered.

Also consider the possibility that the marriage took place in a Register Office.

The marriage does not appear in the indexing of Oxfordshire PR marriages on Ancestry. Perhaps it was in a parish not covered by the OFHS digitalisation, or as Jebber says, it took place in a Register Office,
