Hello,
William died in 1853. He was living in Millbrook in 1851. GRO give his age at death as 88.
I'd appreciate any help!

His wife Sarah died in 1866, presumably in Millbrook also, but I'm missing a burial for her too :(
-
He died in the December qtr - what was his actual date of death as he may have been buried in 1854 if he died very late in December

Have you checked for cemeteries in the Millbrook area or contacted the records office?

There's only the church (St. Mary's I think) so I might well get in contact with them.

On the NBI it shows St Michael & All Angels for Millbrook

Sorry, I was thinking of Maulden. All these Bedfordshire churches! Thanks for that.

Hi
Millbrook BFHS CD burials are from 1559 to 1851. Probably Beds Record Office will be able to help you.

Thanks!

Beds Surnames Index CD does not have burial of William Pepper in 1853/54 ... however as this is derived from all of the Beds FHS parish registers CDs - where the burials for Millbrook may only go up to 1837 (or perhaps 1851 as stated in other places) then it is not likely to be included.
The NBI records for Millbrook only go up to 1852.
As suggested by BunnyGirl, I also suggest to email Beds Archives / Record office to see if they would check out Millbrook burials for specifically William Pepper 1853/54 & also his wife Sarah Pepper 1866 they might respond favourably. But they could say they will do it at their published research rates.
Cheers John
