I have been trying to locate more on information on Archibald Alexander Hobbs born 1877 second quarter Cuckfield Registration district in the Village of Lindfield Sussex (1881 and 1891 census)
His parents were Warden and Hannah Hobbs (nee Newman) . In 1881 they were living in Lindfield and in 1891 they were living in Croydon Surrey. Archibald is 14 and a student on the 1891 census/
In 1900 his father passed in Surrey and Hannah had passed in 1893 in Croydon Surrey.
I have located the three children younger then him one who passed away young and one is living with a family in Surrey and the other is in Yorkshire on the 1901 census
me Ernest H M Hobbs
Age 20
Estimated Birth Year abt 1881
Relation to Head Boarder
Gender Male
Birth Place Lindfield, Sussex, England
Civil parish Skipton
Search Photos Skipton, Yorkshire, England
Ecclesiastical parish Skipton Holy Trinity
Town Skipton
County/Island Yorkshire
I have checked the death records for a Archibald Alexander Hobbs and other names such as Archie or Alexander being the first name with no success.
Could someone please have a look at the 1901 1911 censuses and see if I have overlooked something that is staring me right in the face for Archibald (Archie) Alexander Hobbs born 1877 Lindfield Sussex. I am trying to locate a marriage for him or perhaps he immigrated or passed away
Best wishes

If that was him, sadly it looks like he died soon after arriving. There's a death registered in 1895 in Canterbury NZ for an Archibald Hobbs c 1877
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q24K-YL3G
and a probate register for an Archibald Hobbs, painter who dies intestate in Canterbury in July 1895

Thank you so much Mabel It is very much appreciated.
It would appear that all signs point to this being the correct Archibald.
