Title: O’Donnell family emigrating to the US
Post by: Anjimiller on Monday 16 July 18 06:23 BST (UK)
I would like to try and find some of the O’Donnell family names that emigrated from Donegal to the US around the mid 1800s.  Are there any websites that have the emigrants lists I can look up?
Many thanks in advance.

You can look at passenger lists for New York, Boston, Philadelphia and various other East and West coast ports at FamilySearch but they generally give only the country of origin not the county or  city.  O'Donnells were surely  a dime a dozen.

Greetings
Johnson Spence O'Donnell immigrated to Jersey City New Jersey. He Married a Jane Fletcher they had Hamilton Lewis who had two wives and his daughter Elizabeth married William T. Redmond my husband's grandfather. Of interest his mother Sarah Gauntly Hamilton is descended from a long lines of Irish Lords, one of whom married the daughter, Mary, of King James II Stuart of Scotland. Due to the famous or infamous status of these generations there is huge amounts of written material which is easily accessed on Ancestry.
