Perhaps an announcement in a newspaper, do you know the local newspapers? Most are now online. Facebook may have pictures.

You can also view more recent events on microfiche at any of the following places.
Some Rootschat visit these places from time to time and will do look ups via personal message.

A complete set of GRO Indexes are available to view in microfiche format at:

The Library of Birmingham
Bridgend Local and Family History Centre
City of Westminster Archives Centre
Manchester Central Library
Newcastle City Library
Plymouth Central Library and
The British Library

You can also try www.iannounce.co.uk  (newspaper obits, but be aware not everyone puts an obit int he paper,it's very expensive)

Does she have an uncommon name - otherwise you may struggle without knowing her husbands name.  Her age will not appear on any GRO index entry

Do you know where the marriage took place?  If not - could be another stumbling block

Thank you. Might be easier to send for a certificate.

Sorry - how can you send for a certificate if you don’t know when or where the marriage took place or who she married?

I'm thinking that I have her full name date of birth and a staffordshire,Shropshire location. I'm sure I'll sort it.

You can't buy a marriage certificate solely with a date of birth.

You have to have the year/quarter/registration district plus volume and page number to apply for a marriage cert.

Marriage certs do not have a date of birth - only the age at the time of marriage

I’m not 100% sure about this - but if it’s a recent marriage you may have to give a reason for applying because of identity fraud etc
