Title: Thomas Dennis. Who or where is he?

Thomas Dennis, c1834 Devon.  1841, age 7 years, he is living in Stoke Dameral with Elisabeth Dennis 30 years. No idea if she is his mother.  I can't find him in any other census or other records. Perhaps he was at sea.  Any help please.

Have you found Elizabeth in 1851? It could be that she married and Thomas took his stepfather's name.

Thomas Dennis born at Plymouth on 23 May 1834 went to sea as an apprentice in 1850 aged 16.  When unemployed he resided at St George’s East, London.  His merchant seaman’s ticket was cancelled and the register is endorsed “[Ticket?] left on board”.

Looking at an earlier thread http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=797017.msg6539599#msg6539599   was Elizabeth born with the surname Joll or similar and married a Dennis in 1837?  So would Thomas have been born pre marriage  :-\

Hi Kay,  Elizabeth is living in St.Giles, Middlesex in 1851 and 1861 with Henry.  1871 inn Lewisham as a widow.  If I have the correct person then Elizabeth Joll l did marry Henry Dennis in 1837 East Stonehouse.  It's possible Thomas was born before marriage.

Hi, dont want to be a nuisance but would there be any other children born to Elizabeth single or married ? I'm still trying to link all the Bills and Dennises together as There are so many.😕
