I am trying to find any information regarding Alexander Smith a sailor who married Ann Archibald in 1822 and they had 4 children Alexander, James , Jean and Elizabeth?
I have been told that Ann married a James Walker in1829 in Dundee Angus and they had 5 children.
There is no mention of how her first Husband Alexander died or did they just seperate?
It may have written on the marriage certificate if Ann was a Widow?
There may be some burial sites for them but where I do not know. They may be in the Howff cemetery which I looked at when I was over in Scotland but it was the old one and I was looking for another of my family members The any Kettels who Alex and Ann's daughter Jean who married when they were in Vuctoria but I could not find any, but it was a nice walking through the Cemetery.
I anyone is able to help me it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks Annette Ellen

No marriage certificates in 1829 - only Parish Registers, which often lack any but the basic details.
Scotland's People has two marriages:
SMITH ALEXANDER ANN ARCHIBALD/ 26/11/1822 282/210 67 Dundee
ARCHIBALD ANN JAMES WALKER/ 20/07/1829 282/210 287 Dundee
(you could pay to get the actual images)
The Find My Past transcripts add no more details to these.
Scotland's People has 3 Alexander Smiths dying in Dundee between the two marriages dates (1825, 1828, 1829). There might be more details in these. If the first marriage produced 4 children that narrows the range - look at the 1828-9 deaths first.
Good Luck
