Title: Birth location, Milton, Glasgow
Post by: jimnorah on Friday 27 July 18 07:54 BST (UK)
Attached is a clip of the birth location of Robert Knox, born 1879 in the Milton area of Glasgow. I can't make out the street name - looks like B?ner but I can't find anything like it on the usual searches.
Any suggestions much appreciated.

Could it be Brace Street  -

Thanks to both for responding. I just found the birth certificate of Robert's brother George and he was born at 6 Braid Street, Milton, Glasgow (address was legible this time) although I would never have guessed that Braid was what was written on this document.
Thanks again guys.

I would never have guessed that Braid was what was written on this document.

Although I am sure it should have said Braid St, I don't think it actually does. It looks much more like Braer St, so it was probably just misheard with the D and T combining into one sound.

At least you've found out what it should have said.
