Title: Coping With Kew - Buckinghamshire FHS August Talk At Bletchley
Post by: BucksFerret on Sunday 29 July 18 16:41 BST (UK)
Coping With Kew

This talk by Gwyneth Wilkie is an introduction to The National Archives; what you may hope to get from TNA’s holdings, which records are accessible at home and which on site, which ones you have to pay for, what else is on open access and whether you need a reader’s ticket. Gwyneth will also look at how to use Discovery. Details you may want to remember will be mostly in accompanying notes, so that the slides Gwyneth presents can be used to walk you round the building and show you what some of the documents actually look like and how they can be used to further your research.

Buckinghamshire Family History Society welcomes non-members to its meetings; entry is £4.
