Title: James McIntosh b 4th Apr 1845 Isle of Skye
Post by: maggiejay on Wednesday 01 August 18 15:05 BST (UK)
Looking for any help on tracing the death of James McIntosh b 4th Apr 1845 Isle of Skye Parish of  Sleat( master mariner) son of Alexander McIntosh and Rachel McKinnon. He married Davina Spink 23rd Nov 1882 at 15 Ann Street Arbroath. On Davina's death certificate in Aug 1910 she is a widow. Have looked at Scotlands People but no joy. Any help appreciated.

Thanks Maggiejay

I note James, Divina and their 7 children are in Greenock in 1901.
A...tys 1901 census as James born 1849 as a Tacht, presume Yacht Master, Divina is a Captains wife.
I wonder if he died at sea?

However I have checked the "Minor Record" on SP and he is not there but if he went missing it may not have been recorded.

With Sugarbakers's details, you will find that there is a Wills & Testament document (not clear what it will be) on Scotlands People www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk which shows as:

James MacIntosh
5/5/1906
8 George Square, Greenock, d. 12/10/1905 at Glasgow, intestate.
Greenock Sheriff Court
SC53/41/15
