I am looking for some help regarding my second great grandfather Patrick Baker. He died on the 7th of November 1934 aged 71 in Dublin and according to the census records he was born in Kilkenny. This is were i am having some trouble i cannot find his baptism record.
He married Annie Archbold in 1892 in Dublin and the marriage record says his parents were Edward and Margaret, the record also states his parents were living in Monkstown. I would also like to find out if his parents were from Kilkenny or from some place else.
Any help would be much appreciated.

The years covered by the release of the historic Indexes to the Civil Records of Births, Marriages and Deaths are:
Births: 1864 to 1916
Marriages: 1845* to 1941
Deaths: 1864 to 1966
*non-Roman Catholic Marriages are recorded from 1845, Roman Catholic Marriages are recorded from 1864

I have not been able to find his parents death records. Patrick's father Edward was not marked down as deceased on the civil marriage record of Patrick and Annie so i have been searching for deaths 1892 onwards in Dublin.

Thanks that could be it however on the parish record of his son's marriage in 1892 it did not have him marked down as dead and it listed the parents residence as Monkstown.
There is a death record for a Margaret Baker in 1898 Monkstown aged 67 and is down as a widow. I suppose she could of moved from Thomastown later on.
-
Have you found James Baker, the son who reported Margaret’s death?

Looks interesting

Can't view it and there are pages and pages of Marriages for that parish for that year....a date would help instead of having to wade through page after page after page

Parish records
https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/1032
Ancestry shows parish records
Baptisms
Patrick Baker 10th May 1851 Parents Edmond and Margaret Brien
Pat Baker 2nd March 1855 parents Edward and Margaret
James Baker 30th June 1860 parents Edmond and Margaret
You could check these with the parish records. The first Patrick must have died - if it is the same family.
Edmond and Edward are often interchanged.
Ages do vary in censuses.

https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000633504#page/27/mode/1up gets 1892...then you can look though for whatever Month they married...

James is down as being 35 in 1901 10 years on he is 51 and is down as only being 5 years married in 1911, strange.
I know ages back then were not accurate but not to this extent, maybe some just lied about their ages lol.

Just to let you guys know more info about the Bakers,my second great grandparents Patrick Baker and Annie Baker only had one son Edward Baker born in 1899. He married Elizabeth Treacy in 1924. Sadly he died at a young age in 1931.
On the marriage record he is down as being a motor driver. I have never been able to find his death record.

Yes that is my Edward Baker. He was buried in Glasnevin cemetery along with his father Patrick Baker and wife Elizabeth who died in 1986. Strangely Annie Baker nee Archbold is not in the grave.I think she might of been buried somewhere else due to the number of places.
The record gives Edward Bakers death as 5th June 1931.
