any info..moved to canada
Did you post before finishing your request? There is nowhere near enough information. Birthyear/marriage/immigration date etc etc
Please remember that Rootschat does not allow the names of living persons to be posted here
-
i'll find more info
-
There are 15 entries for that name on ships passenger lists to Canada between 1890 and 1957 so without more info we have no idea which Richard Matthews you are enquiring about
-
Is it this one
hi if u want maybe u can help me with another inquiry..but this time it has nothing to do with sweden or the hansson family... my grandmother's father richard matthews was born in hastings england, he married my great grandmother ella victoria smith on april 6,1921 in manitoba canada..ella's parents were rupert pruden smith and harriet louisa brown..anyways the matthews line is kind of a mystery...and there seems to be two seperate geneologies from different people about richard...the first geneology has him the son of edwin matthews and caroline purkis.. the second geneology i saw has him as the son of william matthews from battle, sussex, england and a mary ann holman.. now if he was the son of william and mary the info i got was.. One of those links goes to this family, with the ages of the parents very different to the 1901 census that I posted:

k cool. so it was mary holman than.thanks
-
what i'm doing is just verifying..i know that i had holman before, but i wanted to check to make 100 percent sure than was her last name
-
k so the other info i have is: also this is just copy and paste from myheritage.com
William Henry MATTHEWS and Mary Ann MATTHEWS (born HOLMAN).
William was born circa 1852, in Battle, Sussex, England.
Mary was born on November 23 1850, in Hellingly, Sussex, England.
now from this how i can i trace back to william's parents..mary's parents etc.

You need their marriage to ascertain the names of their fathers
Have you tracked the family backwards on the census to establish approximately when they married. Census is free to search on familysearch https://www.familysearch.org/search/hr/search
You can also use the GRO index to see when the couple first registered a birth of a child.

i will :)
