Title: Is Helen
Post by: Quarryman on Sunday 05 August 18 14:05 BST (UK)
HELP! Does anyone have a clear copy of 1841 census. My copy is indistinct for the occupants of Is Helen, Caernarfon. One of my ancestors, Thomas Thomas, lived at Is Helen (Llanbeblig?) with his wife and 12 children - they actually had 14! - I have been able to decipher Thomas Thomas, his wife Ann, and children John (20) and Mary 18) but not the remaining nine.

Would be so grateful if someone could help me out.

If you give the piece, book, folio & page it would be far easier for another to look.

Not sure about this one now;
Jane  7 Oct 1821 (not on 1841 Census with Parents)
Entry has Mother as Ann PARRY
But a Thomas Thomas/Anne Parry didnt marry until 27 Feb 1822

I presume your Thomas married Ann CLUBB 28 Mar 1815?
So 1st child was Robert Bapt 22 Oct 1815?

Can't thank you enough, Trish.  There was a girl, Ann, born after Robert. She married a farmer from the Llyn Peninsula, then a master mariner and lived in Uxbridge Terrace, Caernarfon. One of her two daughters from her first marriage married my grandfather.

Having a difficult time at the moment as my house was burgled, vandalised and fired and lots of my research vanished - having to start from scratch.

So grateful to the Rootschatters who are helping out.

I am so sorry for what you have been through, you must have been traumatised.

Hi Trish,

Thanks for your kind thoughts. Good news is that I have found an undamaged memory stick with all my paternal side (Roberts) on. Bad news is that I had put my maternal side (Thomas) on a memory stick. Have to start again. Would I be able to find Thomas Thomas' first daughter Ann/Annie (b1816/17/18) on FreeReg?

Thanks again

Sorry I looked for Anne on FreeREG with no luck.
Robert is not there either but I found him on Familysearch.Org.

You can check for yourself;
