Title: Encumbered Estates terminology 1850

In an 1850 Encumbered Estate entry for County Antrim, the term "Representative of..." is used. Does this have the same meaning as in Griffiths Valuations- that the person named is dead? Or could this be different and mean a representative of a living person?

Details are for The Braid Estate, Ballymena, Barony of Lower Antrim, Co. Antrim. Encumbered Estate of Stephen Moore, Earl of Mountcashell. 1850. Lot # 4, Elginny Townland, Entry # 22:

Tenant's Names: Representative of William Paul. Area. Annual Rent. Gale Days. (values given.) Tenure by Which Tenants Hold: Lease dated 2nd March 1846 for 30 years from 1st November 1845.

That is the complete entry and I assume that this William Paul was dead in 1850.
