This enquiry is a new post the background can be found here: http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=775363.0
I am no looking for descendants of the above, his daughter Rhoda came to NZ via Australia married in Auckland and died in Inglewood Taranaki in 1975. As far as we know she had no children.
From the original post above you will see we have a collection of family photos and two albums which we wish to pass on. A mission started in December last year and slowly progressing (we hope) to a conclusion
any help would be appreciated.

This looks like Sampson's birth record
WESTLAKE, SAMPSON TRELIVING TRELIVING
GRO Reference: 1846 J Quarter in TAVISTOCK UNION Volume 09 Page 496
On the 1851 census with his widowed mother and siblings
Registration district Tavistock
Piece number 1883
Folio 10
Page 13
Sampson has six siblings so the potential for descendants could be quite large.

I seem to have located the marriage of one of his sisters:-
Marriages Jun 1867
STRINGFELLOW Thomas George Tavistock 5b 642
Westlake Mary Ann P Tavistock 5b 642
Child
STRINGFELLOW, MARIAN PARNAL WESTLAKE
GRO Reference: 1870 D Quarter in TAUNTON Volume 05C Page 367
On the 1871 census:-
Registration district Taunton
Piece number 2371
Folio 71
Page 17
Mary's sister Eliza K is also on this census.
That will be a dead end. Marian is the only child and dies unmarried:-
Deaths Jun 1953
STRINGFELLOW Marian P 83 Taunton 7c 176
Seems Mary's hubby dies:-
Deaths Dec 1871
Stringfellow Thomas George 32 Taunton 5c 280
-
Another sister's marriage:-
Marriages Mar 1875
MUTTER William Axminster 5b 21
WESTLAKE Elizabeth Jane Axminster 5b 21
On the 1891 census
Registration district Axminster
Piece number 1669
Folio 143
Page 4
I'll leave it at that for now. It looks as though you will need to do a lot of work searching to find the descendants of Sampson and his siblings and follow them on down to the present day.

Have been away for a while and just logged in this morning and find all this information. Thanks a lot, it will take me a while to plough through it but it has filled in a few gaps
