Title: trying to find ancestors on 1939 register..

I am having trouble finding ancestors in the 1939 register... mainly my great grandfather who died 1960... is this type of look up allowed?

Was he likely to have been serving in the forces as the 1939 is a civilian register

Thanks for your reply, he was in the forces but i don't think he was by 1939, i can't seem to find any of the other family either :/

We are not allowed to give you information from the 1939 other than that available from a 'free search'

As you have access to the 1939 If you give us details as to who you are looking for with dates /possible location  we may be able to point you in the right direction
