Hello
I am looking for information with regards to Janet McKinlay born April 24th 1750 in Glasgow.
Her father was William McKinlay and her mother was Elizabeth Black.
Janet married George Miller who was born in Bothwell 22nd Dec 1748.
 I am trying to find any information with regards to her parents ie their marriage and births etc .
Any help greatly appreciated.

I can see the following children on Scotlands People, parents
WM. MCKINDLAY/ELIZABETH BLACK  = Glasgow

MCKINLAY         JANET        24/04/1750
MCKINDLAY   AGNES   11/04/1755
MCKINDLAY   JEAN      17/03/1759
MCKINLAY          LACHLAN    18/11/1760

They may have had a daughter Elizabeth who died in 1766.

No marriage for her parents in Scotland.

I note the following on SP. Might be worth considering.

MCKINLAY   WILLM   Died   66   10/01/1786   Glasgow

There are no births around that time in Lanarkshire but the name is quite common in Dumbartonshire and there are a few possibilities born around 1720.

I cannot find a death for Elizabeth but there are a number of possible births spread throughout Scotland, none in Lanarkshire though.

How did you confirm Elizabeth's parents names?
