In 1851 Wrexham I have this family.
All the children I found on the GRO have mmn as Williams.
I can`t find a marriage and the David Hughes is confusing me. Of course he might have been married to one of Thomas`s sisters.
If they married before 1837 they would have been quite young.
The only one I can find is on Family search but it takes you to FindMyPast , what a swizz !

Baptism Wrexham 18 Dec 1817 - Thomas son of John & Elizabeth Cross, Abbot Street, Joiner
-
Thanks
In 1861 there is a Charles Cross b Wxm in Abbot Street, he is 46 and a joiner and carpenter, he has a son John. I wonder if he is a brother to Thomas.
Unless Thomas had more children before the ones from 1851 he didn`t name any of them John.

I have found an obit from 1883
http://newspapers.library.wales/view/4589484/4589489/34/
Sadly no info on wife's background but it does note very long link with Penybryn Chapel, which may be a useful pointer
Also spotted this - which raises questions!

Also - Wrexham 12 May 1821 - Mary dau of John & Elizabeth Cross, Abbot Street, Publican

There was also - birth 9 May, baptism 11 Jun 1806, Eliz. base (dau) of John Cross & Eliz. Davies.
For children of Thomas Cross and Margaret I can find the following baptisms (all Wrexham):

Thomas Henry - 8 Jun 1862 - son of Thomas & Margaret Cross, Mount Street, Currier.

but nothing earlier (in Denbighshire).

Thanks, I have found him in the papers quite a lot, but not spotted the obit.
I had thought he was non conformist but this confirms it.

Thanks for the help,
I am now looking at his son Charles but he married Sarah Jones ::) from Wrexham . Can anyone help me with these details.
Cross Charles born 1850 married 1871 I think it may be the Cheshire Marriage Licence Bonds And Allegations .

There is a Charles Cross baptised 16 May 1850 - base son of Martha Cross, Poor House.

Think that could be Walter Preece Jones (b London c1846) He's in Bold Square, Chester in 1871 (as a journalist/reporter) and later in Rhyl as an agent/money lender.
